Engineering is a field of science and technology that deals with the creation, design, and application of machines and structures. It is a four-year professional degree program that leads to either a Bachelor of Engineering or a Bachelor of Technology.
The experiments and principles of scientific theory are the core topics of this course. Engineering courses come in many different varieties, including those in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science engineering, communication engineering, and aerospace engineering, to name just a few. Depending on one's area of interest, one can pursue any of these engineering courses. Because the world is continually in need of new discoveries and ideas, there is a growing demand for people with degrees in any technical field.
Admission to Engineering (BE/ B Tech) 2022 - Do you intend to study BTech at one of India's top engineering institutions? If so, you must be aware of the BTech admissions procedure, the top/best B.Tech colleges in India, engineering entrance examinations, entrance exam dates, and other relevant information. For the B Tech programs, not all engineering institutes in India use the same admissions procedure. Different factors are used by various engineering colleges to assess a student's eligibility for a B.Tech after 12th grade. The B.Tech program, in contrast, offers a variety of specializations, including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, engineering, etc. Students may select any specialization that best meets their objectives or aspirations.
Engineering is a science that focuses on developing and constructing machines, motors, and buildings. It provides a wide range of lucrative job opportunities in India and overseas. Students now have a wider range of job options thanks to the steady rise of the technology industry and other businesses as a result of the economy's opening up over the past few decades.
The study of engineering will give students good exposure as well as prepare them for future employment in a variety of industries. Their future is well-positioned thanks to the skills, information, and understanding they acquired throughout this course. One can choose to work abroad for eminent firms like Microsoft, Google, Intel, and many more. Many people continue their postgraduate engineering studies abroad in countries like the USA, UK, and Germany to increase their chances of landing renowned jobs with high salaries.
The majority of engineering schools in India choose applicants for admission based on the results of entrance exams. While some technical colleges hold their own entrance tests, others accept AIR (All India Ranks) obtained in national-level exams. Here are a few of India's most well-known undergraduate and graduate engineering exams.
Engineering courses in India are offered at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate, and Ph.D
Eligibility
Eligibility criteria are as follows:
Passed 12th standard with science stream having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as the subjects.
Secured at least 50% marks in each of the aforementioned subjects.
Students who come under the category of SC/ST are eligible for 5% relaxation in the aggregate and qualifying marks.
For subjects like Biomedical or Biotechnology Engineering students need to have Biology as a subject in the 12th Class. Alternatively, some colleges require either Biology or Mathematics as a part of Class 12 studies.
Students need to take an entrance examination, the scores or ranks of which will determine their admission to a college.
Pursuing an engineering degree has the benefit of opening up career opportunities in a variety of fields, as well as the potential for significant pay. To become an expert engineer in different domains, one can pursue a BE or B.Tech or a ME or M.Tech. Because there are so many opportunities in firms like NASA, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon, and others, most people prefer to pursue a master's degree abroad.
With an engineering degree, one can work as a software developer, technical manager, mechanical engineer, aeronautical engineer, environmental engineer, electrical engineer, civil engineer, and much more depending on the engineering field of specialization.
